Cast Iron Foot Valves as per IS:4038

Cast Iron Foot Valves, manufactured in accordance with IS:4038, are designed to allow free flow of water into suction pipelines while preventing backflow when the pump is turned off. Installed at the bottom of suction pipes in wells, sumps, or tanks, they are equipped with a strainer to block debris and ensure pump safety.

These valves are widely used in agricultural irrigation, pumping systems, municipal water supply, and industrial utilities, ensuring priming retention and smooth pump operation.

Types of Cast Iron Foot Valves (IS:4038)

Single Door Foot Valve: Features a single disc or flap that opens with suction and closes instantly on shutoff to prevent reverse flow.

Double Door Foot Valve: Equipped with two symmetrical doors for balanced flow, smoother operation, and reduced slamming during closure
