Our Ductile Iron Tilting Disc Check Valves are manufactured in accordance to the Face to Face Dimensions of EN558-1, series 14 / ISO5752 and Flange Drilling Dimensions are in conformity with IS:1538 (other drilling standards are also available on request).
Our Ductile Iron Tilting Disc Check Valves are specifically designed for high-performance backflow protection in water and wastewater systems. Featuring a hemispherical disc with a 59° seat inclination, these valves ensure rapid opening and closing to significantly reduce water hammer while maintaining low head loss and full-bore flow.
The disc tilts around a pivot point located above its centreline, enabling swift closure under reverse flow conditions. This advanced geometry allows for smooth, vibration-free operation even in fluctuating pressure environments, making them ideal for critical pump discharge lines, transmission mains, and industrial flow control systems.
KEY FEATURES
- Hemispherical Disc with 59° Inclination: Aerodynamic, counterweight-balanced disc shape enables quick, cushioned closure and fast response to flow reversal, drastically reducing water hammer and slam.
- Body Material: High – grade Ductile Iron (GGG50) for superior tensile strength, pressure handling and impact resistance.
- Disc Material: Precision-cast ductile iron disc with integrally bonded NBR rubber sealing face for drop-tight closure
- Full Bore Design: Ensures minimal pressure loss and energy-efficient flow across a wide operating range.
- Tilt Axis Above Flow Line: Faster opening and closing compared to swing check valves due to reduced disc travel distance.
- Self-Cleaning Action:Disc movement prevents debris accumulation and enhances long-term sealing performance
- Coating: Fusion-Bonded Epoxy (FBE) internally and externally with minimum thickness of 250 microns for long-lasting corrosion protection in aggressive soil and water conditions.
- Shaft & Bearings:Stainless steel pivot shaft with high-performance Brass bearings for smooth, maintenance-free operation.
- External Lever with Counterweight or Spring (Optional): Provides assisted disc closure to control the speed and timing of shut-off, reducing the risk of water hammer and ensuring smoother, non-slam operation. Adjustable counterweights or springs allow fine-tuning based on system flow and pressure dynamics.
- Installation Orientation:Suitable for horizontal and vertical (flow upwards) pipelines.
